The country’s eventful history is also reflected in the numerous castles and palaces. These national monuments and landmarks of Romania are sometimes among the best medieval buildings in the world. In particular, the region of Transylvania is known for its numerous and magnificent castles and fortresses, but other regions in eastern Romania also have historic buildings that are among the most beautiful in Europe.

You should have seen Bran Castle and Hunedoara Castle. The Peles Castle (Castelul Peles) in Sinaia is also beautiful. A magnificent building from the 19th century, which today houses a museum.
