Not far from the Catedrala evanghelica is the Bridge of Lies, one of the first cast-iron bridges in Romania and today one of the most popular photo motifs of Sibui.

Also impressive are the Orthodox Cathedral and the Roman Catholic Holy Trinity Church in Sibiu. The Brukenthal Palace is located on the large market square (Piata Mare) and is not only a building worth seeing, but also the seat of the oldest museum in Romania.
The Museum of Natural History is also located in the Old Town, where the Astronomical Observation Center is located. The sights in the old town are close to each other, and since the historic center is almost car-free, the attractions of the city can be easily explored on foot. Furthermore, the numerous restaurants and cafes invite you to linger.
The open-air museum Astra, on the other hand, is located outside the city and shows Romanian rural life in the past on almost 100 hectares.

Sibui is also an ideal starting point to explore the natural beauties of the surrounding area. Among them are nature reserves & natural parks as well as the first aerial health resort in Romania, the so-called High Gully/Paltinis. For example, the Parcul Natural Cindrel, Parcul Național Cozia and Parcul Natural Gradistea Muncelului – Cioclovina. In the summer months, the beautiful mountain pass road (Transfagarasan) is also recommended. It is one of the most beautiful mountain roads in the world, from which you can also look at the mountain lake Lacul Balea.
Since Sibiu has an international airport, the beautiful city can be easily reached by plane. Within the city you can use public transportation or cabs. There are also direct train connections to Brasov or Bucharest.
