Europe is a popular destination for city trips, but well-known destinations such as Paris, Rome and Madrid are simply too crowded. More and more travelers are therefore looking for alternatives and insider tips. Romanian cities, for example, are perfect for a city trip in Europe and are not overrun by crowds of tourists. Here you can walk through streets steeped in history, visit sights, stroll through museums, go shopping or even sample Romanian delicacies or enjoy international dishes in one of the numerous restaurants and on the restaurant terraces in the larger and smaller squares of the cities.

Romania is still considered an insider tip in Europe, whose old towns are among the most beautiful in the world. Sighisoara (Schäßburg) is a jewel among the medieval city centers of the world, which are looking for its equal. Also worth seeing are the cities of Brasov, Sibiu and Timisoara and even if a little more crowded the capital Bucharest. And these are my favorites in Romania.

You can reach the Romanian cities from many airports in Europe. There are daily flights to Bucharest and from Bucharest you can easily reach many other cities of the country by rental car, shuttle service or train. Other airports are located in Sibiu, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Constanta and hopefully soon in Brasov.
