Brasov Sign

Tampa Hill rises above the old town of Brasov and offers an impressive panoramic view of the city and the surrounding area. On the plateau of the hill is a large sign in the form of the letters “BRASOV”, which can be seen from afar.

The town sign was erected in the 1960s and has since become a symbol of the town. At night, the sign shines in a variety of colors. It is located right next to the viewing platform on Tampa Mountain, which you can reach either on foot or very easily with the Telecabina. Once at the top, all you can see is the breathtaking view of the old town of Brasov and the surrounding Carpathian Mountains. A visit to Mount Tampa is a worthwhile activity for anyone visiting Brasov.

In Romanian, the city sign located above the old town on Mount Tamp is called Inscriptia Brasov or Simbolul Brasovului.
