One of Bucharest’s modern attractions is the fountain complex on Unirii Square (Piata Unirii), which you can visit both during the day and in the evening, when the fountain is illuminated by colorful lights. The highlight of the fountain are the water symphonies organized by the City of Bucharest and Apa Nova, which take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening between May and October. The show with water games, music and light projections is not to be missed. Depending on the time of year, the show starts between 9:30 pm and 8:00 pm, but the performance dates can change! So check the organizer’s website.
With a water surface area of over 16,000 m² and the unique arrangement of the various fountain pools in the center of the capital city of Bucharest, the fountain complex (Fantanile Urbane din Piata Unirii) is one of the most beautiful in Europe. Like thousands of spectators before you, you will be enthralled by the choreography set to music. During the show, jets rotate in time to the music. The shows last around 45 minutes and admission is free.
