There are churches and monasteries in Romania in the most diverse architectural styles. Some are magnificent, others are simple, but everywhere you can feel the spirituality of these very special places! The best known are probably the Moldavian monasteries in the east of Romania. But sometimes the small village churches are also impressive. One of the biggest churches is in the city of Iasi, the Catedrala Mitropolitana. Also famous is the Black Church in Brasov and Cathedral in Sibiu.
Among Romania’s most beautiful churches are beautiful buildings and also simple, plain buildings.
