Howling Waterfall (Cascada Urlatoarea) is located in Bucegi National Park near the town of Busteni in Romania. It is a small very beautiful waterfall in a beautiful region that has a lot to offer. You can reach the hiking trail to the waterfall via Strada Urlatoarei in Busteni. Behind the cable car station is the path marked with a red dot. The path is quite easy. However, you should be careful in some places. The waterfall itself is located at an altitude of about 1100 meters in a curve and is worth seeing. In this area you should also have seen the rock formations Babele & Sfinx, which you can reach by cable car. From the top you can also see the hero’s monument Crucea Eroilor de pe Muntele Caraiman. The Ialomița Cave is also nearby and worth seeing.
There is also a legend about this waterfall. Two shepherds were in love at the same time with the same woman who is also said to have been a shepherdess. Out of fear, she threw herself off the cliffs at the waterfall one night, whereupon the two shepherds froze into pines, which still guard the waterfall today.
