Discover Siret

Siret is a town in the Bucovina region in northeastern Romania, close to the border with Ukraine. The city is located on the river of the same name and is on the one hand worth seeing and on the other hand a good starting point to explore the beauties of the region. In the city itself you will find numerous sights. You should have seen some of the numerous churches. Among them are the Church of the Holy Trinity (Biserica Sfânta Treime din Siret), the Church of the Nativity of St. John (Biserica Nașterea Sfântului Ioan Botezătorul din Siret) and the wooden church of St. Dumitru-Sbierenil. Dumitru-Sbierenilor in Mănăstioara (Biserica de lemn Sfântul Dumitru-Sbierenilor din Mănăstioara). We should also mention the statue of Margaret Musat (Statuia Margaretei Mușat) and the house (Casa lui Simion Florea Marian), just to name a few. Siret is also a good starting point to discover the beautiful region of Bucovina. Nearby is, for example, the nature reserve (Natura 2000 – Siret-Rogojești). You should also see some of the so-called Moldavian monasteries, which are world famous for their picturesque design. For example, Putna Monastery is 60 kilometers away and Voronet Monastery is 75 kilometers away. From Siret you can also reach the cities of Suceava and Campulung Moldovesc.
