The city of Medias is located in the Transylvania region in Romania and is a really worth seeing city with numerous historical sights, which can be seen clustered in the old town. Formerly Mediaș was surrounded around by a fortification wall and towers, of which even today some parts as well as towers can be seen, marking the old town. The historical towers such as the tower (Turnul Forkesch) and the tower (Turnul Fierarilor) are worth mentioning. Directly in front of the magnificent Evangelical Church (Biserica Evanghelica Sfanta Margareta), there is also the Tower of Trumpets (Turnul Trompeţilor). In the beautiful region, for example, there are numerous fortified churches, which are among the most beautiful historical monuments in Romania. The fortified church (Cetatea Fortificata din Biertan) is only 25 kilometers away and is a Unesco World Heritage Site. There is also wine growing in the region. Relaxation can be found in the spa town of Bazna Bai. And if you want to drive on one of the most beautiful roads in the world, then head for the Transfagarasan pass road, which starts about 75 kilometers from Medias and takes you over the Carpathians. Here you can also find the beautiful Fagaras Mountains, where you can experience pure nature. You can also hike in the mountains (Munții Cindrel). Also worth seeing is the Ighiș Lake, which is located about 5 kilometers from Medias. In short, Medias offers numerous attractions and recreational opportunities in nature, including hiking and biking.
