The Apuseni Natural Park (Parcul Natural Apuseni) is located in western Romania between the cities of Arad and Cluj Napoca. Here you will find forest-covered hills, caves and gorges on more than 70,000 hectares. You can explore the park on various hiking trails. In winter you can also go skiing here. There are campsites in Valea Sighiștelului, Padiș, Ic Ponor and Gârda de Sus.On the Padis Plateau is the Cabana Padiş a popular place for hikers. Equally popular are the caves Pestera Ursilor and the Pestera Ghetarul Scarisoara, which is over 700 meters long. Access to the nature park costs a few lei.

Here you can go hiking, biking, caving, climbing, as well as rafting and horseback riding, and in winter skiing.
